About Jessica Rae

This blog is a way for me to document my travels being a singer/songwriter…I will take you on the road with me, share the ups and downs of the business, the craziness, the excitement, etc.

Here’s something a little more on the formal side~

Most recently, Jessica Rae ™ was selected to be the first female recording artist sponsored by Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka. World renowned photographer, Marc Hauser, known for his documentary photographic style of capturing legends before they are legends, features Jessica Rae regularly and invited her to write the introduction for his newly released “3 Decades of Portraits”.

Jessica Rae’s conquering spirit, her stories, her voice and her rocket laugh, never disappoint. She’s performed at NYC’s The Bitter End, Joe’s on Weed St. in Chicago, at Hard Rock Cafés nationwide. Jessica Rae was the opening act for Pat Benatar, nationally recognized songwriter, Jeffrey Steele, Brantley Gilbert, David Ball and Josh Kelley.  Later this month, Rae will be opening for Heidi Newfield in Nashville. She has performed at the 2010 Milwaukee Summerfest, the world’s largest music festival. Jessica Rae’s, “The Trumpet Song”, nominated by popular vote, was featured as the first track on the Emerging Artist Compilation CD. In July 2010, she independently released her first music video, featuring her song “I Could Get Used To This”, now being featured on The Country Network, reaching 30M homes in 42 markets.  In 2009, she was selected to be a “Rising Star” on the PBS Television show, Legends & Lyrics. Jessica Rae has just finished a eight week one-woman tour to promote her self-titled acoustic CD, now available on her site jessicaraemusic.com and iTunes.

“This is not the sound of an emerging artist, but really the sound of an accomplished artist, from whom other singer-songwriters should pay serious attention to.”  -Scott Kahn with MusicPlayers.com

Wow! So beautiful! And I’m just talking about your voice, let alone your smile.
I do hope you can make up to Indy again! Your last show here was so special! Thanks for dedicating “I Can Get Used to This” to us! My husband couldn’t stop singing that to me for the longest time! Hah! What men will do!
See you again soon, we hope!
